The Atria Health Institute is a membership-based primary and specialty health care practice with a focus on prevention and longevity. We successfully opened our flagship Institute in New York in 2022, expanded to South Florida in 2024, and will be bringing the Atria experience to the West Coast with the launch of our Los Angeles Institute in late spring 2026.

About the Role

  • Performs Screening mammography exams by positioning breasts; adjusting compression mechanisms; instructing patient to hold breath; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors; activating equipment to acquire image; releasing compression mechanisms; preparing for next positioning and view while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process
  • Obtaining and reviewing medical histories, discussing concerns, and answering any questions related to the procedure
  • Analyzing images to assess quality, identifying any abnormalities, and making necessary adjustments for optimal imaging
  • Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate interpretations and deliver thorough reports
  • Practices ALARA, Applies principles of radiation protection, when appropriate to minimize exposure to patient, self and others.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring adherence to all regulatory guidelines and healthcare standards
  • Performs daily quality control on mammography equipment,Maintains QC logs and troubleshooting of mammography equipment issues, promptly reporting any malfunctions to field service engineer and Radiology Director
  • Ensures the cleanliness and safety of the procedure room and equipment, following infection control protocols
  • Continuously expanding knowledge and staying up-to-date with advancements in mammography techniques and equipment
  • Performs other technical duties as assigned

What We Offer

Education: Graduate of an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program; Vocational or Technical School Diploma preferred.
Certification:  Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) registration in good standing.Preferred ARRT certification in Bone Densitometry (BD)
Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association).
Experience: 2+ years of dedicated experience as a Technologist in Mammography and DEXA.
Soft Skills: Must be a compassionate and effective communicator with strong tact, diplomacy, and a commitment to a collegial work environment.
Adaptability: Readiness to tackle the challenges of a fast-paced, evolving clinical environment.
To practice in California, candidates must meet specific California Department of Public Health (CDPH) – Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) requirements:
California CRT: Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certificate in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
California Mammography Certification: Valid California Mammography Technologist Certificate.
Continuing Education: Must maintain 24 Category A CE credits every two years, including at least 15 credits specifically in Mammography (as required by MQSA/RHB).
