Senior Database Administrator

This position is hybrid, and you may be expected to go into an office 3 days per week.

We are AT&T’s Infrastructure Automation & Tools team, a vital part of the company’s technology infrastructure. Our team is responsible for managing and maintaining a diverse portfolio of enterprise database systems that support AT&T’s mission-critical applications and services. With a strong focus on MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle, we ensure the performance, security, and scalability of data platforms across the organization. We work collaboratively across departments to deliver innovative, resilient, and efficient database solutions that drive operational excellence. As a Senior Database Administrator, you’ll be a key player in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our enterprise-wide database platforms. This role is ideal for experienced professionals who thrive in high-pressure environments, excel at solving complex technical challenges, and are passionate about building resilient, secure, and high-performing systems that support millions of customers and critical business operations.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing and administering databases across multiple platforms.

• Deep expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle

• Industry-recognized certifications in one or more database technologies

• Strong command of performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and database security best practices.

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing the full lifecycle of enterprise database systems.

• Sharp analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail and system reliability.

• Solid academic foundation with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• A strategic mindset with the ability to lead complex database projects from concept to execution.

• Proven experience mentoring junior team members and influencing technical decisions.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.

• Passion for data integrity, system reliability, and delivering high-impact solutions.

Our Senior Database Administrator earns between 3,800 - 5,700 EUR gross / month. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range will depend on experience, expertise, and education/training.
