Responsibilities

→ Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
→ Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials accurately.
→ Manufacture and install doors, window frames, staircases, skirting, architraves, cabinets, and other bespoke joinery.
→ Carry out first-fix and second-fix carpentry and joinery work.
→ Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively.
→ Fit and install timber components on construction sites and in workshops.
→ Ensure all joinery is accurately aligned, levelled, fitted, and finished to a high standard.
→ Repair, modify, and adjust existing timber structures and fittings.
→ Work closely with other trades and site supervisors to meet project requirements.
→ Maintain tools and equipment and keep the work area clean and organised.
→ Follow all site and workshop health and safety procedures.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter/Joiner or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of carpentry and joinery techniques.
Experience with both first-fix and second-fix carpentry.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
Good attention to detail and high-quality finishing skills.
Experience with bespoke or finish joinery is an advantage.
Relevant carpentry/joinery qualification, apprenticeship, or trade certification is preferred.
Physically fit and able to work on construction sites and at heights where required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
