Drainage Operations and Maintenance Assistant - Closed Systems

About This Position

The purpose of DOM assistant is to clean inlets and pipelines for the citizens of Austin to ensure adequate flow capacity to protect lives and minimize flooding to property, homes and roadways.

•    Clean storm drain pipes and inlets to reduce flooding

•    Clean storm drain inlet filters and trays to improve water quality

•    Respond to flooding problems during storm events

Min: $22.48 - Mid: $24.32

40 hours per week – Monday – Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

May require working outside of normal business hours as dictated by business needs. In addition, work schedule may change to a rotating shift during weather events. Must be agreeable to accepting on-call assignments which might result in a call-back to work.
