Our purpose is to invest for a better world, and we have been pioneers in this space for almost 40 years. For us, investing has two aims – generating solid financial returns and a positive impact for people, planet, and animals. At Australian Ethical, we prove that money can be a force for good. We do this by staying true to our purpose, which is embedded throughout our organisation and drives our everyday activities as a business, investor, brand, employer, and corporate citizen. We’re a registered B Corp and fully committed to an inclusive, equitable and forward-thinking workplace culture.

Your new role

As Senior Finance Analyst, you’ll join the Business Performance team on a 12-month maximum-term contract, supporting the CFO, Head of Investor Relations and executive leadership team. You’ll deliver clear analysis, management reporting and commercial insights to help guide business strategy, forecasting, budgeting and performance outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive the delivery of Board and management reporting, continuing to uplift the quality, accessibility and usability of insights.
  • Support the monthly profit forecast process and annual budget cycle, engaging stakeholders and incorporating new business information.
  • Contribute to annual and quarterly external reporting requirements, including ASX announcements, ensuring evidence points are verified and documented.
  • Generate data-driven insights that identify opportunities, risks and emerging trends, and proactively communicate recommendations.
  • Deliver sensitivity analysis, financial projections and financial models to highlight potential risks, levers and commercial impacts.
  • Work closely with the business to understand key drivers and ensure forecasts and budgets appropriately reflect performance trends.
  • Support the implementation of business strategy by identifying success metrics and reporting on progress.
  • Provide decision support across strategy analysis, cost-benefit analysis, ROI, external market insights, competitor analysis and company-wide projects.

What we’re looking for

You’re a commercially astute finance professional with strong analytical judgement, a curious mindset and the ability to turn complex information into clear, meaningful insights. You’re confident partnering with senior stakeholders, working through ambiguity and using data to support better business decisions. If you bring the following, we’d love to hear from you:

  • CA, CPA or CIMA qualification, with 7+ years’ financial services experience
  • Experience across management accounting, performance reporting, financial modelling and financial analysis.
  • Strong Excel modelling capability and confidence working with financial data, forecasts, budgets and commercial drivers.
  • Ability to produce clear, high-quality internal and external communications, including reporting for senior audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets and regulatory requirements, with superannuation or investments experience preferred.
  • A proactive, questioning mindset, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What’s in it for you
•    Hybrid work arrangements
•    Wellbeing program that includes an extra 4 days of leave above statutory requirement
•    Purpose aligned volunteer days
•    20 days paid annual leave with an additional 3 paid days of annual leave between Christmas and New Year
