We are seeking an experienced Account Director to lead new business growth across the Quebec automotive market.
This senior-level outside sales role is responsible for expanding our dealer and dealer group partnerships by building strategic relationships and securing new marketplace agreements. The ideal candidate brings strong automotive industry experience, an established network within the Quebec dealer community, and the ability to engage executive stakeholders with credibility and professionalism.
This is a high-visibility role within the AutoTrader organization, responsible for driving strategic expansion and delivering measurable growth across Quebec.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to expand our footprint across Quebec.
• Leverage existing industry relationships and proactively cultivate new connections within dealership and dealer group networks.
• Identify, engage, and secure new dealership and dealer group partnerships.
• Lead thoughtful, consultative sales conversations focused on long-term value creation.
• Navigate multi-stakeholder decision processes and close complex agreements.
- Build trusted relationships with Dealer Principals, General Managers, and executive leadership teams.
• Deliver polished, data-driven presentations tailored to dealership and group-level business objectives.
• Represent the organization professionally within industry events and the broader automotive community.
- Work closely with Account Management to ensure seamless onboarding and strong initial account performance.
• Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Sales Leadership to structure competitive proposals and pricing strategies.
• Provide insights on Quebec market trends, competitive positioning, and dealer sentiment.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified new business opportunities.
• Accurately forecast territory performance using CRM (Salesforce preferred).
• Consistently achieve revenue and new account growth targets.
• Operate with autonomy while maintaining strong reporting discipline and internal communication.
• 5+ years of outside B2B sales experience in automotive, automotive marketing, SaaS, or related digital solutions.
• Demonstrated success securing new dealership and dealer group partnerships.
• Strong, established relationships within the Quebec automotive dealer network.
• Experience presenting to and negotiating with Dealer Principals and executive stakeholders.
• Fluency in both French and English (verbal and written).
• Willingness to travel within Quebec.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and structured pipeline management.
• Strategic territory development mindset.
• Deep understanding of dealership economics and automotive retail operations.
• Executive presence and polished presentation skills.
• Relationship-driven with strong networking capability.
• Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
• Results-driven with high accountability.
• Meaningful expansion of new dealer and dealer group partnerships across Quebec.
• Strong territory revenue growth from newly secured accounts.
