Junior Accountant

Description
Avada Group Sarlu is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will assist with daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records

Requirements
The successful candidate should have:

• Good knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting entries 
• Experience with QuickBooks and the OHADA financial system used in Congo
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Good knowledge of SAGE Financial platform
• Basic understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations
• Basic English to communicate with different teams and partners

Responsibilities
The Junior accountant will be responsible for:

• Preparing financial statements and reports (daily, weekly and monthly) of the company's accounts.
• Recording daily financial transactions in the OHADA systems 
• Reconciling bank statements and company accounts
• Daily processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports
• Supporting payroll preparation and verification and tax documentation
• Maintaining organized accounting records and files
• Assisting during audits and financial reviews
• Monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable of AvadaPay
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Nice to have

• Experience in Fintech sector is a plus
• Knowledge of English is a plus
• Not more than 4 years' experience in accounting and financial reporting
