Computer Scientist

• →Test hardware capabilities and document performance for networked systems; identify and report hardware restrictions impacting system operations.
• →Assist with updating and maintaining firmware for fielded and developmental hardware platforms.
• →Validate configuration information and ensure accurate integration across software, hardware, and networked systems.
• →Serve as a backup to system administrators, supporting basic administration and troubleshooting needs.
• →Analyze and advise on hardware and software restrictions to optimize network integration and operational effectiveness.
• →Conduct thorough software testing, replicate field issues in lab settings, and document results.
• →Report identified software bugs to development teams, and support bug resolution efforts.
• →Use operational support tools such as PROTOSS for diagnostics and reporting.
• →Perform installations and troubleshooting on various HW platforms and across multiple projects.
• →Automate repetitive or time-consuming testing and configuration tasks through scripting (JavaScript, Python, C#).
• →Create and maintain robust documentation of testing practices, procedures, and outcomes.
• →Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings to stakeholders.

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). ITAR

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant, progressive experience in hardware and software testing; or 2 years of experience with a Master’s degree.
• Demonstrated experience with updating firmware, validating configuration data, and analyzing complex systems.
• Experience in system and network administration and ability to serve in a backup support capacity.
• Proven track record automating tasks with scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, C#).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience working in and supporting secure, networked environments.
• An active TS/SCI with polygraph
