Responsibilities

  • Conducts detailed dimensional and visual inspections on critical parts, assemblies, and raw material, including first piece, in-process, incoming, and final. Inspection involves using tools such as; calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparator, and more

  • Works from drawings, sketches and specifications. Adapts inspection measuring devices and procedures where necessary

  • Documents inspection findings and produces the necessary documentation/reports, establishing acceptance or rejection

  • Determines or assists in determining methods, sequences and procedures necessary for inspection

  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations

  • Other duties as assigned

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. What We Do

Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Vocational school or Technical training is preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • Minimum 2 – 4 years of mechanical inspection experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements, maintenance, and implementation of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 guidelines required

  • Experienced using tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges and optical comparator

  • This position requires traveling to the supplier sites within 100 miles

  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean DMV record

  • Demonstrated familiarity with source inspections and/or audits is desired

  • Demonstrates intermediate to advanced drawing interpretation skills

  • Demonstrates understanding of geometrical tolerancing and dimensional measurements

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite needed to document findings and produce inspection reports

  • Is highly motivated, committed to high quality standards, and be able to function with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrates competency in reading, comprehending, and ensuring compliance to internal standards, drawings, and customer requirements

  • Exhibits strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties

  • Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives

  • Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products

  • Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company

  • Focuses on teamwork and puts the success of the team above one's own interests

  • Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment (Constant)

  • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)
