Associate Director, Utilities & Site Development Workstream

Your Role:
The Associate Director, Utilities & Site Development Workstream provides owner-side leadership for utility infrastructure and site-development scope within Project AMPLIFY. The role integrates business, technical, permitting, construction, and operational requirements into an executable workstream plan through design, installation, startup, readiness, and handover. The position is accountable for workstream scope, schedule, cost, risk, and technical readiness while coordinating internal subject-matter experts, engineering partners, contractors, and operating teams. The role operates with substantial day-to-day independence and escalates material commitments or changes through the appropriate project governance channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the integrated Utilities & Site Development workstream plan, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables through operational handover.
• Translate facility, utility, infrastructure, site, and operating requirements into clear design inputs and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate engineering partners, contractors, subject-matter experts, Quality, EHS, and operating stakeholders to support execution.
• Monitor workstream scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and readiness, escalating material issues with clear options and recommendations.
• Facilitate technical decisions and interfaces across civil, utility, facility, automation, and operational systems.
• Lead readiness and transition planning for startup, procedures, maintenance strategies, training, and operating ownership.
• Maintain workstream governance, decision records, risk documentation, and concise stakeholder reporting.
• Support commissioning, startup, and stabilization through successful transition to the Facilities & Engineering organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10 or more years of relevant experience in utilities, facilities engineering, site development, construction, or capital-project delivery in a regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex cross-functional technical initiatives or workstreams.
• Working knowledge of utility infrastructure, technical design coordination, operational readiness, and change control.

• Professional Engineer, project management, or construction management credential.
• Experience supporting biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
• Experience with facility startup, commissioning, or operational handover.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

This role is a full-time onsite position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. unless otherwise stated by Supervisor. The employee must also have the ability to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary.

Compensation:  

We offer competitive compensation packages for this role, including a base salary, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. 

The compensation range for this role is $147,200 - $184,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer opportunities for career growth and development as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
