Maintenance Standards Manager

Salary: From £52,000 (dependent on skills and experience)
Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week
Base Location is flexible with travel required across the Anglian Water region.

We borrow water from the environment, store it and treat it to world-class standards to supply safe drinking water to 4.3 million customers in towns and villages from Grimsby in the northeast of our region to Milton Keynes at the south-western tip.
Reporting to the RCM Enablement Manager, this role will develop appropriate maintenance strategies, options, standards and tasks using SAP systems. Supported by Risk and Service, and Data Analysts, you will enable to development of new maintenance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and codify maintenance strategies, technical guidance notes, standards and tasks in the Asset Maintenance database and related SAP data tables.
- Lead the investigation and assessment of maintenance related proposals and recommendations and if validated, submit to the Water Supply approval group.
- Manage the communication of new, revised or reviewed maintenance documentation to ensure that stakeholders are appropriately informed.
- Manage the maintenance review process to ensure continuous improvement is based on real business experiences in the field as well as recorded asset data.
- Manage the communication of new or changed maintenance activities to ensure that stakeholders are appropriately informed.
- Inform other stakeholders of suitable monitoring of performance post change to ensure that recommendations deliver their expected benefits.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align maintenance with operational needs.
- Strive towards informing capital planning and procurement decisions through strategic recommendations.
Requirements:
- University Degree in Engineering with experience of plant maintenance, operations, and rotating equipment. (Desirable)
- HND / HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. (Desirable)
- Extensive experience of equipment from a design, maintenance, or operational perspective.
- Knowledge of Safety Management – including Permit to Work, Hazard & Risk Assessment, Environmental Protection and basic HSE regulations
- Proficient in SAP and other maintenance systems.
- Skilled in application of root cause analysis.
- Experience in utilities, oil & gas, or similar sectors (Desirable)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel across the Anglian Water region.
