As a subject matter expert, you'll support the Payroll Manager, provide guidance to colleagues, resolve complex payroll queries and drive continuous improvement across payroll processes. Working closely with HR, Finance and external providers, you'll use SAP and Workday to ensure an excellent service is delivered to employees across the business.

  • Maintaining employee records in SAP and Workday.
  • Managing statutory payments, deductions, pensions, salary sacrifice schemes and payroll benefits.
  • Supporting complex payroll activities including redundancy payments, TUPE transfers and family leave pay.
  • Completing payroll reconciliations, journals, audits and month-end reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, pension legislation and employment law.
  • Producing statutory submissions including RTI, P60s, P11Ds and ONS reporting.
  • Working closely with Finance, Employee Relations and external providers to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Supporting Payroll Advisors while leading continuous improvement initiatives and payroll projects.
