As a member of the Global Tax team at Awin, you will play a key role in supporting our Brazilian operations and navigating one of the most significant tax transformations in the country’s history.
You will support Awin Brazil on a broad range of tax matters, including corporate income tax, indirect taxes, tax compliance, tax audits and tax authority enquiries. A particular focus of the role will be assessing and supporting the implementation of Brazil’s comprehensive VAT reform and its impact on Awin’s business model, processes and compliance obligations.
As part of the Global Tax team, you will also contribute to tax matters and projects across the wider Awin Group, working with colleagues around the world on international tax, indirect tax, tax reporting and tax compliance matters.

- Monitor, assess and support the implementation of Brazil’s indirect tax reform and evaluate its impact on Awin’s business model, systems, processes and tax compliance obligations.
- Partner closely with local Finance teams to support compliant and efficient tax processes, controls and reporting.
- Review business transactions, commercial initiatives and operational changes from a tax perspective and provide practical recommendations.
- Support the preparation and review of tax returns, tax calculations and related documentation prepared internally by local teams or by external advisors.
- Assess global transactions and business activities regarding indirect taxes, corporate income taxes and international tax considerations within the Awin Group.
- Support and lead international tax projects across multiple jurisdictions, including VAT/GST, US Sales Tax, Corporate Income Tax and tax audit matters.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax reporting under IFRS and work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal and other business stakeholders on ongoing tax matters.
- Brazilian professional tax or accounting qualification (e.g. CRC or equivalent) required.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in tax advisory and/or in-house tax functions.
- Global mindset combined with deep expertise in Brazilian taxation.
- Strong knowledge of the Brazilian tax system, including both direct and indirect taxes.
- Solid understanding of the ongoing Brazilian indirect tax reform and its practical implications for businesses.
- High degree of competence in Microsoft Excel and ideally knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment with a hands-on approach.
- High attention to detail and ability to drive tasks through to completion.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across different countries, functions and levels of seniority.
- Results-oriented, proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
