This is a hybrid opportunity based in Charlotte, NC, offering the chance to contribute to back-end systems, APIs, and data-driven applications within a highly regulated financial technology setting. The role provides exposure to cross-functional teams, modern software delivery practices, and enterprise-scale development work.
- Build, enhance, test, and deploy scalable Python-based applications that support business and technology needs.
- Develop and maintain server-side applications, scripts, APIs, and integration components.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver practical technical solutions.
- Integrate databases, third-party platforms, and APIs into application workflows.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code aligned with development best practices.
- Perform debugging, unit testing, code reviews, and reliability improvements across assigned applications.
- Support continuous integration, deployment processes, and overall application quality.
- 10+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on Python expertise.
- Proven experience building back-end applications, APIs, scripts, or data-driven software solutions.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API development and integration.
- Experience working with databases and writing efficient queries or data integration logic.
- Familiarity with version control tools and collaborative software delivery practices.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience participating in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and CI/CD processes.
- Exposure to front-end technologies, cloud platforms, DevOps tools, or Agile delivery is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
