About the Role

~1 min read

This is a player-coach role reporting to the SVP Product. You will help lead the product team while personally owning an important product area.

Your initial IC charter will be the Enterprise Platform: the APIs, integrations, workspaces, permissions, governance, and reliability requirements that make Axion secure, connected, and ready for complex manufacturers. As the team evolves, you may also step into priority Core Product work where your judgment and execution can have the greatest impact.

You will spend roughly half your time as a functional leader: running planning and reviews, setting the metrics that matter, coaching PMs, and owning the operating cadence between Product and Engineering. The other half you will spend as an individual contributor on the hardest platform surface area we have.

We are looking for someone who raises the ceiling on how this team works, not someone who adds a layer to it.

Responsibilities

~1 min read

Build great product

  • Personally lead Enterprise Platform from customer understanding through strategy, product definition, execution, launch, adoption, and learning, with flexibility to step into priority Core Product work.

  • Set the product direction for APIs, integrations, workspaces, permissions, governance, audit, and reliability in close partnership with customers, Design, and Engineering.

  • Make hard product choices and separate reusable capability from one-off requests while staying responsive to urgent customer and business needs.

Build the product operating system

  • Turn company and product strategy into clear outcomes, priorities, owners, and metrics through planning, reviews, demos, and decision follow-through.

  • Establish a productive cadence across Product, Design, and Engineering that improves how teams define problems, make tradeoffs, launch, measure results, and learn.

  • Give executives and the company useful visibility into product decisions, progress, and learning without creating unnecessary process.

Lead the team and portfolio

  • Manage and coach a small team of PMs, raising product judgment and craft while preserving clear ownership.

  • Create coherence across Agentic Product, Core Product, Data & Onboarding, and Enterprise Platform, including the dependencies and tradeoffs among them.

  • Partner closely with the SVP Product, Engineering, Design, Solutions, and GTM leadership.

You will lead a team covering four areas. Yours is Enterprise Platform. The other three:

Agentic Product builds agent-powered products that move customer work forward: agent behavior, hypotheses, evidence, recommendations, and the human feedback and approval loop.

Core Product owns the everyday customer experience: the issue view and lifecycle, investigation and resolution, monitoring and alerts, dashboards, and Studio.

Data and Onboarding gets customer data and users into a trusted workspace faster: ingestion, transformations, mappings, taxonomy, workspace readiness, and activation.

  • You deliver meaningful customer and business results in your own product charter.

  • Product, Design, and Engineering operate through a shared cadence that produces clearer decisions and stronger follow-through.

  • Product reviews and demos improve product quality, learning, and company alignment rather than becoming status meetings.

  • The PM team demonstrates stronger judgment and ownership, and Enterprise Platform has a clearer direction across integrations, controls, governance, and shared foundations.

  • The product team executes with less routine dependence on the executive above it

  • Experience as a player-coach: you have led PMs while owning meaningful scope yourself, and you are not looking to stop building

  • Depth in enterprise platform product: APIs, integrations, permissions, governance, reliability, or AI

  • Technical judgment strong enough to earn engineering's trust and to make architecture-adjacent calls without deferring every one of them

  • Product operations instinct: you have installed planning, review, and metric practices on a team that did not have them

  • Executive presence: you can hold a room with our CEO, our customers, and our board, and you can disagree in it

  • Comfort with ambiguity and with detail. We are a company that argues about specifics, and the people who do well here find that energizing rather than exhausting
