At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.

Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.

Axon 911 brings together Prepared and Carbyne under Axon. Together, we are creating the only platform that combines modern 911 infrastructure with an AI intelligence layer—helping public safety agencies move faster, make better decisions, and deliver better outcomes in the moments that matter most.

911 is the backbone of public safety, yet the professionals behind it have long been held back by outdated technology. Axon 911 is here to change that. Joining this team means more than taking a job—it means helping shape the future of emergency response and building a safer, more connected world.

As a Senior Product Manager II at Axon 911, your mission is to achieve “The Perfect Response”. This means, we will be step by step through emergency response today, identify where there are gaps that lead to unnecessary loss of life or ‘unforced errors’, ideate on how to solve those challenges — either creating a product that fixes the issue OR create a new workflow/system that preventing that issue from even being possible.

You will be in charge of large, cross-functional initiatives that push the boundaries of communication and data-sharing for 911 telecommunicators, dispatchers, and responders. Specifically, you will:

  • Be your domain’s CEO: Do whatever it takes to get the mission accomplished — identify the summit we want to climb in your division, identify the limiting factor, ruthlessly prioritize against that limiting factor, and make meaningful strides towards the perfect response.
  • Lead Major Cross-Functional Projects: Plan and deliver complex features/products impacting multiple customer personas (field responders, 911 calltakers, 911 dispatchers, etc). Define clear goals, align teams on product vision, and ensure consistent, high-impact delivery.
  • Shape and Communicate Roadmaps: Establish product roadmaps that reflect company strategy, balancing competing priorities and securing stakeholder buy-in. Keep diverse teams focused on delivering outcomes that advance our mission.
  • Champion Deep Customer Understanding & Relationships: Conduct extensive customer research — go onsite for ridealongs in field responder vehicles, or sit-alongs in 911 centers. Develop deep relationships with emergency responders, conduct and synthesize extensive user research. Showcase the better future we are building, and rally to make that change a reality in the world. You will embed empathy and real-world needs into every decision.
  • Facilitate Stakeholder Alignment: Influence through clear articulation of the product vision, reconciling conflicting priorities and securing organizational commitment to drive large-scale projects forward.
  • Mentor and Develop PM Talent: Provide structured guidance to other product managers, sharing insights and lessons learned to enhance collective knowledge and leadership capabilities.
  • Drive Complex Initiatives: Tackle project blockers decisively, balancing speed with strategic impact. Keep cross-functional teams aligned on objectives and deliver on high-stakes deadlines.
