Responsibilities

  • Leading and mentoring a small IT team responsible for daily operational support across manufacturing plants.
  • Mapping current factory processes and identifying control gaps, inefficiencies, and workflow bottlenecks.
  • Linking SAP systems with Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) to automate daily workflows.
  • Producing accurate monthly operational reports, tracking incident root causes, and managing site IT governance.
  • Participating in an operational shift rotation and standby schedule to ensure continuous manufacturing systems stay online 24/7.

Requirements

  • SAP Knowledge: Practical working knowledge of SAP is mandatory for this role.
  • Proven IT Experience: At least 5 years in IT operations, process engineering, business systems analysis, or technology support.
  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience managing, coaching, or coordinating a small technical team.
  • Digital Toolkit: Strong capability with business process mapping and the Microsoft Power Platform suite.
  • Operational Readiness: Ability to work a 7-day shift schedule and handle 24/7 standby coverage across Chamdor, Vereeniging, and Hammanskraal sites.
  • Education: Matric required; a relevant Diploma or Degree in IT, Information Systems, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
