Welding Engineer

• Investigate welding defects and technical queries, collaborating with manufacturing teams to improve processes and working instructions
• Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and quality requirements
• Review welding and NDT non-conformances, supporting root cause analyses, corrective actions and successful resolution
• Support continuous improvement goals, identifying opportunities to enhance welding quality, efficiency and manufacturing performance
• Maintain accurate welding documentation, certification and traceability records while coordinating qualifications, inspections and external compliance activities

• Demonstratable experience developing and qualifying Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) within regulated manufacturing environments
• Practical knowledge of welding coordination activities and compliance with ISO 3834, PED or equivalent quality standards
• Acquired experience working within defence, aerospace, pressure vessel, oil and gas, or similarly highly regulated industries
• Considerable technical understanding of TIG and PAW welding processes, with experience supporting highly detailed fabrication activities
• Relevant engineering qualification in welding, manufacturing or mechanical engineering; experience with titanium or other high-specification materials highly desirable
