A Lead Engineer, Product Design and Engineering - Automation Control Software works across different automation control software platforms to develop targeted applications for specialized applications. Their responsibilities span requirements definition, design, verification, and production, often within cross‑disciplinary teams supporting new product development and customer‑specific solutions. They collaborate closely with research, testing, and engineering groups to deliver robust embedded functionality activated through sensors, external controls, or system interfaces
Requirements
~1 min readHold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Science‑based discipline, or possess equivalent experience.
Bring automation experience with strong expertise in PLC and HMI/SCADA technologies (Twincat Soft PLC and Ignition SCADA preferred).
Have hands‑on experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP, CAN, Ethernet UDP, and OPC UA.
Demonstrate solid knowledge of object‑oriented design principles and modern software development methodologies.
Show deep understanding of software development processes, with a track record of driving quality and process improvements.
Use analytical tools effectively to support product development and problem‑solving, have proven experience delivering small‑scale engineering or automation projects.
Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, and be willing to travel to company‑assigned sites.
