Mechanic Chem III

As a Mechanic Chem III, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems. You will leverage your technical expertise to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while collaborating with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.

As a Mechanic Chem III, you will apply advanced maintenance skills and technical knowledge to diagnose equipment issues, perform repairs, and support operational excellence. You will promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements, and provide leadership through your commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.

• Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on industrial equipment and plant systems.
• Applying craftsman-level expertise in one or more specialized maintenance disciplines while supporting other plant maintenance activities.
• Inspecting, diagnosing, and resolving mechanical equipment failures to minimize operational downtime.
• Identifying potential safety hazards and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
• Following OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety procedures at all times.
• Conducting preventative and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records, repair documentation, and inspection reports.
• Supporting plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency repair activities as required.
• Collaborating with operations, engineering, and maintenance personnel to address equipment and process issues.
• Assisting with installation, modification, and commissioning of equipment and plant assets.
• Promoting a culture of safety, quality, and accountability through daily work activities.
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance maintenance effectiveness and operational reliability.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members when appropriate.
• Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.

• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Have 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• Have craftsman-level certification or demonstrated expertise in at least one specialized area of maintenance.
• Have strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Have knowledge of industrial equipment, maintenance practices, and reliability principles.
• Have a thorough understanding of OSHA safety requirements and safe work practices.
• Have the ability to identify hazards and proactively implement corrective actions.
• Have strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have a demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Have the ability to manage multiple maintenance priorities in a fast-paced industrial setting.

This role may require working in industrial facilities, performing field maintenance activities, supporting emergency repairs, participating in plant shutdowns, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and reliable operations.
