Principal Engineer - Lower Completions

Baker Hughes has an opening for a Principal / Sr. Principal Engineer – Lower Completions in Houston, TX.  The Lower Completions Engineering group provides product design and technical support for lower completion product line equipment worldwide.  The Principal / Sr. Principal Mechanical Design Engineer is to assist the Wellbore Construction group in the development of new products, provide support for the existing products, and respond to operations/customer feasibility work.

• →Multiple years’ experience in the design of lower completions tools i.e.: ICDs, Screens, Barrier Valves, Sand Control Tools / Packers, etc.
• →Understanding of basic oilfield practices and applications
• →Experience with product design including stress calculations, tolerances studies
• →Familiarity with qualification testing and test fixture design
• →Knowledge of manufacturing processes/design for manufacturability
• →Experience with SolidWorks
• →Experience with Teamcenter PLM software
• →FEA experience
• →Familiarity with one or more of the following API standards - API 19AC, 19SS, 19V, 11D1, 19ICD
