Summary

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day payroll operations. The Payroll Coordinator will process weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The lists below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Minimum high school graduate, bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: At least 1-5 years of related payroll experience.
Software: Must have experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with sensitive data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic understanding of payroll tax laws and compliance requirements.
Experience with annual employee tax reporting.
Possess a motivated, professional, and self-starter attitude.

Essential Functions

Process weekly payroll ensuring that all figures are accurate, and payroll is paid on time.
Assist with maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
Review, validate, and post employee timecards daily in ADP Workforce Now.
Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
Protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Enter adjustments including employee garnishments, new rate changes, deductions, bonuses, and paid time off.
Communicate with branch administrator in the event of an employee’s separation from the company.

Work Environment

This position is in an office environment and requires being in the office Monday – Friday.

Physical Demands

This role requires sitting for long periods of time, typing with repetitive hand motions, and extended periods of time looking at a computer screen. This role has limited lifting, bending, reaching, or stooping.
