Responsible for working safely in all situations, follows and enforces all safety policies, demonstrates safe behaviors including use of safety equipment and equipment safeguards, and champions the Balchem safety programs at each site.

Will work under direct supervision.

Supports product development efforts in formulation, application, process development, process capability, and specification development.

Participates in scale-up trials from pilot plant to commercial scale at traditional hours.

Assists in the preparation of presentations and reports to communicate results to key stakeholders.

Performs other duties as assigned. May be assigned to one specific research project or several.
Requirements

Currently enrolled in under-graduate or graduate program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. • Excellent communication, influencing, and critical thinking skills.

Highly self-motivated individual comfortable working individually and able to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently within the context of a busy environment.

Proficient with computer skills, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications, and be able to easily learn new applications

Experience in basic laboratory techniques and equipment: analytical balances, pH meters, UV/VIS, FTIR, Auto-titrators, HPLC, GC, DSC, etc.
