Steward - Recycling

• →Oversees all waste disposals.
• →Trains staff in the proper procedures to maximize recycling and minimize trash disposal costs.
• →Ensures recycling bins are available and used in all predetermined areas.
• →Ensures all waste is dumped at pre-designated times into proper receptacles.
• →Maintains a log of what and how much is recycled, and reviews weekly with Chief Steward.     
• →Reports recycling compliance issues to the Chief Steward.
• →Ensures that trash cans are cleaned on a daily basis.
• →Reports any recycle bins that need to be replaced.
• →Ensures that food waste is put through the pulper properly.
• →Oversees pulper use and reports any necessary issues to maintenance.  
• →Maintains cleanliness and organization of recycling areas.
• →Provides exceptional customer service
• →Works safely, following all established safety rules and regulations
• →Communicates effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests
• →Follows all relevant policies and procedures
• →Performs other duties as assigned.

Competencies:

• →Must possess high school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
• →Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• →Previous kitchen worker experience preferred.
• →Knowledge of various cleaning equipment used in the cleaning industry preferred.
• →Must be able to report to work on time as scheduled
• →Must possess proficient communication skills.
• →Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as needed
• →Must be able to successfully pass a background check
• →Must present an overall professional appearance and report to work in appropriate attire.
• →Must be detail-oriented and organized.

Work Environment:

• →Union Representation: This position is represented by Unite Here and is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
• →Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled

Starting Compensation:

• →$17.00/hr
