Schedule: Flexible schedule with short daily check-ins (15–30 minutes), with higher availability required on one key day (usually Thursday), totaling approximately 8 hours per week with potential for increased scope over time

Currently we’re seeking a specialist who is motivated to develop a career in data protection and work with market‑leading high‑tech enterprise software clients. In this role, you will support Data Protection compliance across the UK region, helping organisations operate securely and responsibly

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Data Protection Coordinator to support UK data privacy activities, with a strong focus on managing and coordinating Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs). This role is primarily operational and process-driven, requiring close coordination across internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and compliant responses under UK GDPR.

  • Act as the main point of contact for UK data protection matters, particularly DSARs
  • Manage and coordinate end-to-end data subject requests (primarily employee-related cases)
  • Collect relevant data from internal systems and ensure timely input from stakeholders
  • Coordinate with external vendors responsible for data review and redaction
  • Review outputs to ensure compliance with UK GDPR (e.g. removal of third-party or sensitive data)
  • Track progress of each request and ensure deadlines are met in line with UK requirements
  • Follow up regularly with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of the process
  • Maintain clear documentation and reporting of ongoing cases
  • Optionally support data protection trainings and application of internal guidelines
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in data protection or privacy
  • Practical experience handling Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) is essential
  • Good understanding of UK GDPR and ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) requirements
  • Ability to manage processes, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and ensure deadlines are met
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow up with different teams
  • Fluency in English
