Title: Domestic Scouting Analyst Fellow

Department: Domestic Scouting

Location: Baltimore
Reports To: Assistant Director, Draft Operations
FLSA Status: Part-time/Seasonal, Hourly

Role Overview:
This position will assist in all functions pertaining to the First-Year Player Draft including day-to-day front office operations, statistical collection & review, draft research, and player evaluation. This is a seasonal position that is based out of Baltimore, MD.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary duties to include, but not limited to, the following:

General administrative and logistical support for Domestic Scouting Department
Hone player evaluation skills through in-person looks, video, statistics, and other relevant sources of information
Collaborate with front office, scouts, and other departments during pre-draft process
Troubleshoot technical and equipment issues and aid scouts
Operate various technologies to collect performance data on players at club workouts
Edit and upload video to share as necessary
Conduct special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

General knowledge of baseball and scouting landscape
Attention to detail
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with staff members of diverse backgrounds
Must possess intellectual curiosity, an open mind, and desire to learn
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SQL preferred
Ability to work long hours; evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed

The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $20/hour.
