This position is responsible for reviewing and performing all functions related to loan boarding quality for loans of basic to medium complexity in accordance with the terms and conditions of credit approvals and legal documents. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.
- Perform loan boarding for all loan types in the bank’s Loan Core System, including, but not limited to, Small Business Credit Lines, Commercial Lines of Credit, Commercial Real Estate, Consumer Loans, and Letters of Credit.
- Ensure credit approvals, legal documentation, bank worksheets, and supporting loan documentation, including collateral, insurance, escrow, and disbursement information, are present, accurate, and consistent with one another.
- Review daily loan system reports to ensure the accuracy of data entered for new, renewed, and modified loans and file maintenance.
- Meet established loan boarding deadlines based on the complexity of each loan.
- Perform loan servicing activities, including basic loan boarding and maintenance, tickler entry and updates, general ledger transaction posting, and daily balancing.
- Bring discrepancies to management and independently correct errors.
- Perform loan-level servicing audits.
- Assist with special projects as needed or assigned, including loan conversion projects and basic audit research.
- Comply with all FDIC and other banking regulations.
- Follow all established policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Five or more years of banking experience in commercial loan servicing.
- Ability to read and understand loan approval documents and multiple types of loan documents, using critical thinking skills to ensure data entry accuracy.
- Knowledge of elementary accounting procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce a large volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, and understand procedures.
- Ability to build relationships and work well in a close team environment.
- Commercial loan documentation experience using LaserPro preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and loan software, including the FIS IBS Loan Core System, preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
