Responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of primarily private clients. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of primarily privately held business clients, ranging from complex credits to deposit-only relationships, and act as lead negotiator with prospects and clients.
- Grow revenue by prospecting for new business and retaining and expanding existing client relationships through interest income, fee income, and cash management revenue.
- Provide financial advice to clients and identify and sell appropriate bank products and services to prospects and clients.
- Build strong relationships with referral sources and centers of influence.
- Structure and underwrite credits jointly with Loan Portfolio Managers.
- Operate a computer terminal or personal computer to process account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems within established authority.
- Answer in-person, telephone, or email questions from clients and staff and direct inquiries to the appropriate Company personnel when necessary.
- Assume responsibility for various department functions during staff absences or high-volume situations.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of twelve years of experience in sales or relationship management.
- Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation, mainframe computer systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and specialty software programs.
- Intermediate knowledge of applicable state and federal banking compliance regulations governing lending, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA, as well as Company operational policies, procedures, products, and services.
- Intermediate math skills, including the ability to calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; identify routine mathematical errors; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; and draft and interpret bar graphs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and communicate clearly with clients and employees.
- Ability to make decisions that have a significant impact on the immediate work unit.
- Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work on both a short-term and long-term basis.
- Ability to address difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
- Ability to perform duties with little to no supervision.
- Experience in commercial and other related forms of lending and portfolio products preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
