  • A role with heart, variety and country charm — your next OT adventure starts here
  • Make a real impact in aged care while enjoying the best of both city and country life
  • Part-time role – 3 days per fortnight | Flexible schedule

About the Role
Looking for a meaningful change of scenery — without relocating? This unique part‑time role offers the perfect opportunity to experience regional aged care practice while still living and working in the city.
With just 3 days per fortnight, it’s an ideal way to explore rural health, broaden your clinical experience, and enjoy the charm of regional WA at a pace that suits you.

You’ll work across two welcoming communities:

  • Balladong Gardens in York (1 day per fortnight) — a historic, picturesque town known for its heritage buildings, cafés, arts scene and relaxed country atmosphere.
  • Kalkarni in Brookton (1 day per week) — a friendly Wheatbelt community surrounded by open landscapes, big skies and a strong sense of local connection.

Both locations offer a refreshing break from the metro routine, giving you the chance to enjoy scenic drives, peaceful surroundings and the rewarding experience of supporting residents in regional settings — all while maintaining your home base in the city.

In this role, you’ll partner with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to enhance residents’ physical, emotional and functional wellbeing. You’ll conduct meaningful assessments, shape personalised care plans and deliver targeted OT interventions that support independence, dignity and quality of life. This is a role where your clinical insight, creativity and compassion come together to make a genuine difference.

Why Join Us?
At BaptistCare, we invest in our people so they can invest in others. Enjoy a workplace that supports your wellbeing, growth and work–life balance through:

  • Competitive salary + tax-free salary packaging up to $18,550
  • Discounted gym memberships & novated car leasing
  • Flexible work arrangements & additional leave options
  • Health & wellbeing support including free counselling, spiritual care & nutrition advice
  • Career development with study assistance up to $3,000 per year
  • Access to learning programs including LinkedIn Learning
  • A positive, inclusive culture where you’re encouraged to thrive

About You
You’re an enthusiastic, compassionate Occupational Therapist who brings both clinical skill and heart to your work. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in aged care or a strong interest in the sector
  • A solid understanding of contemporary OT practice, aged care standards and person‑centred care
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with residents, families and colleagues
  • Confidence working within a multidisciplinary team
  • The ability to balance priorities and adapt to changing needs
  • A commitment to dignity, respect and customer‑centred care
  • Proficiency with digital documentation and clinical systems
