About the Role

The Solutions Architect serves as a technical resource for the Payments portfolio and supports Sales and customers throughout the sales and solution lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities

  • →Provide technical pre-sales support for payment hardware, software, integrations, and related solutions.
  • →Serve as a subject matter resource on payment products, technologies, integrations, and applications.
  • →Work with current and prospective customers to understand business and technical requirements and recommend appropriate payment solutions.
  • →Partner with Sales on customer meetings, technical discovery, presentations, demonstrations, and other pre-sales activities.
  • →Support Sales in identifying customer needs, developing solution strategies, and expanding opportunities across applicable payment products and services.
  • →Develop and document solution requirements, configuration specifications, integration specifications, and other technical documentation.
  • →Work closely with Sales and internal teams to ensure customer requirements, solution design, project scope, and implementation expectations are clearly understood.
  • →Partner with configuration, technical, Professional Services, and development teams to transition qualified opportunities and support successful implementation.
  • →Provide technical support throughout the sales and implementation process, including troubleshooting, integration support, testing, and customer acceptance.
  • →Work directly with payment technology manufacturers and OEM technical teams to resolve product and integration issues and stay current on product capabilities and roadmaps.
  • →Maintain relationships with OEM and technology partners to stay informed of product releases, training opportunities, technical requirements, and integration capabilities.
  • →Work with software developers and technology partners to evaluate, develop, enhance, or integrate payment solutions based on customer requirements.
  • →Assist with RFP responses, technical proposals, solution documentation, and other customer requests.
  • →Evaluate new payment products and technologies for technical fit, customer applicability, and potential business opportunities.
  • →Work with Payments Management to identify opportunities for new or enhanced software products and payment solutions.
  • →Provide product and technical training to Sales, Business Development, configuration, and other internal teams.
  • →Maintain current knowledge of payment technology, market conditions, competitive activity, product developments, and industry trends.
  • →Maintain applicable technical and sales certifications and complete required OEM training programs.
  • →Prepare project, opportunity, and status reports for management as needed.
  • →Provide remote or onsite customer support when necessary.
  • →Travel as needed to support customer engagements, presentations, implementations, and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, payment technology, POS technology, systems integration, or a related field.
  • Experience designing, presenting, implementing, or supporting technology solutions for customers.
  • Experience partnering with Sales teams to develop and support technology solutions and services.
  • Working knowledge of payment hardware, software, POS systems, integrations, networking, databases, and related technologies.
  • Experience working with payment OEMs, software developers, ISVs, VARs, or other technology partners preferred.
  • Proven project management and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Programming, scripting, API, or software development experience is desirable. 
  • Up to 20%
