Barnes Aerospace MRO in Arkansas City, KS has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a CNC Programming Engineer with a solid background in CNC programming who enjoys a diverse, fast-paced work environment. The CNC Programmer will execute activities associated with the development, application and maintenance of manufacturing standards for the manufacturing processes. Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead turning and milling programming development, instruction, and debugging tasks in collaboration with Repair Development Engineers, Process Engineers, and machining leads.
- →Directly support operations with CNC programming changes to address issues on an as needed basis.
- →Directly support NPI development with new CNC programs.
- →Collaborate with Repair Development Engineers and machining leads on fixturing development.
- →Work with Process Engineers with CAD model development and validation for milling and turning operations.
- →Work directly with Senior Engineering staff on various engineering initiatives.
Requirements
~1 min read- Five+ years direct experience in lathe, VTL, 3/4 axis milling CNC programming.
- Experience processing nickel, cobalt, and titanium based alloys in Aerospace machining operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees.
- Proficient in performing full set-ups, program edits, and holding high precision tolerances.
- Ability to program with CAM (Mastercam preferred) and manually as necessary.
- Familiarity with Repair Technical Data e.g. Engine Repair Manuals, Service Bulletins, OEM approved supplemental data, etc a plus.
- Must have experience authoring typical shop process planning paperwork e.g. Tool Sheets, Setup Sheets, Routers, Operation Sheets, Inspection Forms, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering a plus.
