The Service Project Leader will be responsible for providing project management leadership across our Equipment and Automation (E&A) European Service organisation in Denmark and Germany, working to deliver projects to our customers within scope, budget, and timeline.
This role will lead small to large and complex customer service projects whilst actively engaging in our Lean journey by building and acting on continuous improvement and development opportunities focused on building Customer Trust.
- Provide Project Management leadership to defined projects, primarily from shipment to final handover, including the support of system installation at the customer’s site to final acceptance testing and project sign-off.
- Lead internal and external project communication, as well as coordinating work to ensure alignment of schedules.
- Identify when additional skills or resources are required to ensure successful project execution and help to secure these.
- Create and own project plans, monitor progress against plans, set deadlines and manage the project lifecycle.
- Provide Leadership to the business to help create processes and Standard Work for Project Management.
- Supporting Alliance Service contract renewal and scheduling of Service visits
- Supporting remote service - Acts as a remote service backup, providing online customer support for PLC controlled systems.
- Help develop Project Management skills with other E&A team members.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activity within E&A.
- Evaluate project performance by collecting, maintaining, and communicating lessons learned and ensure that standard work is modified and shared accordingly.
Requirements
~1 min read- Ideally educated in an Engineering discipline (electric engineering, marine engineer, electro/mechanic technology degree) with minimum 5+ years of related engineering and project management experience, within manufacturing plant industries.
- Strong team working skills with the ability to collaborate effectively, partnering across multiple departments, with a capacity for listening and absorbing different points of view.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and passion for connecting with others.
- Use judgement to make complex decisions to solve difficult and complex problems.
- Combination of technical competence, business perspective and customer interaction required.
- Demonstrated ability to understand strategic goals and then implement technical solutions to achieve these goals.
- Ideally hold a recognized project management qualification.
This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility, with travel to customer plants. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in manufacturing areas.
