BW Papersystems is hiring a full-time Tool Crib Attendant at the Hunt Valley facility! In this role, you will perform tool setting, gauging, fixturing, and crib attendant operations to prepare tools and adapters for numerically controlled machines. You will also receive, identify, store, and distribute a full range of tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, measuring instruments, machine attachments and related supplies.

Responsibilities

→Maintain all required location, quantity, usage, receipt/issuance, and other related records using tool management system. Maintain defined stock levels; prepare reports as directed.
→Issue tools, gauges, and other items upon receipt of tool request tickets or set up sheets; deliver/receive tools from workers; maintain documentation in tool management system.
→Inspect tools and gauges and determine need for reconditioning, replacement or repair.
→Work with other departments such as engineering and machine shop to evaluate current tooling and material requirements and make recommendations for future purchases based on current utilization, technological advances, and tooling standardization.
→Detect defective materials, unusual conditions and improper operation and report to supervision.
→Performs all work in accordance with established safety protocols.
→Calculate decimals and fractions; must be able to perform basic shop math and arithmetic calculations.
→Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments and gauges such as scale, rule, micrometer, and fixed gauges.
→Knowledge of grinding methods, wheels, cutting qualities of metals.
→Be able to read and understand drawings and specification sheets.
→Judgement to be able to select and set cutting tools in adapters in accordance with tool specifications.
→Working knowledge of MAPICS and MS Office.
→Possess good communication and interpersonal skills; be able to independently solve problems while interacting with various teams and teammates on daily processes and flow.
→Must be capable of multi-tasking various duties throughout the day, have a positive attitude with an ability to be versatile and flexible.
