Responsibilities

Perform welding on structural steel, fabrication components, and piping systems
→
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
→
Execute welding using approved procedures and industry standards
→
Operate welding equipment such as:

  SMAW (Stick Welding)
- →
  MIG / GMAW
- →
  TIG / GTAW
- →
  FCAW
→
Inspect welds to ensure structural integrity and quality compliance
→
Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working condition
→
Follow OSHA safety protocols and job site safety procedures
→
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and construction teams
→
Maintain clean and organized work areas
→
Support installation of structural components during project construction

Requirements

Ability to properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification
Experience with pipe welding or industrial piping systems
Experience on large-scale industrial or energy infrastructure projects
Forklift, rigging, or heavy equipment familiarity

Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
Ability to work outdoors in construction environments
Ability to work at heights or confined spaces when required
Standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods

Minimum 2 years of professional welding experience
Experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects
Proven experience with structural steel welding

Ability to read blueprints, welding diagrams, and technical drawings
Knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication
Experience performing welds in multiple positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead)

Candidates must meet or be able to obtain:

Work will take place at a large-scale industrial construction site in Liberty.
