Responsibilities

  • Assist in the identification, evaluation, and control of EHS risks and hazards across all company operations.

  • Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and walk-throughs to ensure compliance with EHS standards and identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees, covering topics such as hazardous waste management, emergency preparedness, personal protective equipment, and industrial hygiene.

  • Maintain accurate EHS records, including incident reports, training logs, inspection findings, and regulatory documentation.

  • Investigate EHS incidents, accidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions.

  • Support the EHS Manager in responding to regulatory inquiries and inspections.

  • Assist in the development and revision of EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Participate in EHS committees and teams, fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.

  • Monitor and track key EHS performance indicators, preparing reports for management.

  • Stay up-to-date with relevant EHS regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related scientific field.

  • 2-4 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within a manufacturing or life sciences environment.

  • Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant EHS regulations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and present information.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to conduct effective EHS inspections and incident investigations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • EHS certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CHMM) are a plus.
