Quality Specialist - Systems and Metrology

Our Port Melbourne site is not only the home of Vegemite it is also the home of other Australian iconic products, such as Bega Peanut Butter, Bega Simply Nuts, Zoosh and Cream Cheese. VEGEMITE has been proudly made in Port Melbourne, Australia since 1923.

In this position, you will manage the daily operations of the laboratory registration team while supporting the rapid calibration of instruments across the wider group. You will play a key role in maintaining our laboratory management systems and ensuring compliance with NATA accreditation requirements.

The Quality Specialist works on site Monday to Friday during normal site operating hours.

  Lead and support the laboratory operations team to deliver daily sample registration activities.

  Coordinate rapid instrument calibration services across the wider group.

  Maintain laboratory quality, safety, environmental, maintenance and calibration systems.

  Manage audits, risk assessments, documentation and compliance requirements.

  Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Proven experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.

• Excellent planning and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated problem-solving capability and effective escalation management.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and provide recommendations.
