We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the cash register, processing transactions, providing excellent customer service, and stocking shelves. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to accurately handle money and payment transactions.

Responsibilities

→Operate the cash register and process customer payments
→Provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints
→Restock the store as needed
→Ensure all store policies and procedures are being followed
→Maintain a clean and orderly work area
→Monitor the store for shoplifters and report any suspicious activity
→Balance the cash register and report any discrepancies

Requirements

Some high school or equivalent with the ability to read and perform math.
Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.
Ability to interact with customers on a friendly basis and work in a fast paced environment
Must be able to work any area of the store when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register.
Position requires bending, standing, walking and repetitive use of hands and arms the entire workday.
Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Position requires the ability to handle exposure to extreme temperatures and cleaning chemicals.
