Chief Engineer

Beond is looking for a Chief Engineer to lead our line maintenance team on the A320 family fleet. You will be the senior technical lead on the hangar floor. You'll guide our engineers through complex defects, plan manpower and resources, and make sure all maintenance is done safely and in line with approved procedures. You will work closely with MCC, CAMO, Flight Operations, Planning and Procurement to keep our fleet safe, reliable and on time.

The role is based at the aircraft's home base in Malé, with Dubai available as a secondary base. Duty travel will be needed from time to time.

• →Lead, supervise and develop the engineers and mechanics assigned to you
• →Allocate and monitor maintenance tasks and manpower
• →Give engineering support on technical problems, and guide engineers through troubleshooting of defects across the Beond fleet
• →Investigate complex technical problems and decide on the right corrective action
• →Assess manpower, tooling, spares, facilities and maintenance needs
• →Make sure staff have the right competence, tools, equipment and technical data
• →Coordinate with Production Planning, MCC and CAMO
• →Make sure all maintenance is carried out to approved procedures and applicable regulations
• →Make sure maintenance records and technical documents are complete and compliant
• →Support SMS, human factors, occurrence reporting and compliance monitoring

• Aircraft Maintenance Licence B1.1 and/or B2 (MCAR Part 66, EASA Part 66 or ICAO equivalent) with A320 family (CFM56 and IAE V2500) endorsed
• Certifying staff experience on the A320 family: at least 7 years in line maintenance or 5 years in base maintenance
• Proven management experience, ideally as a line station manager or base maintenance manager
• Strong leadership, with a track record of leading and developing engineering teams
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, defect rectification and technical decision making
• Good working knowledge of MCAR 66, MCAR 145, MCAR M / Part CAMO and MCAR 21
• Able to read and apply AMM, TSM, SRM, IPC, FIM, MEL/CDL and other approved data
• Clear communicator, confident working with internal teams and outside organisations
• A degree in engineering or a related field is an advantage
