Head of Finance

Berry Street is building on the convergence of AI, GLP-1s, and the consumerization of healthcare - while leveraging insurance to make life-changing metabolic care as accessible as possible for all. Our platform connects patients with 2,000+ clinicians and AI tools to treat obesity, diabetes/prediabetes, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, maternal health, and dozens of other chronic + acute conditions. We work with major health plans, health systems, and care management companies across all 50 states.

We launched in 2023, have served hundreds of thousands of patients, and are Series B — backed by investors like Khosla, Northzone, FJ Labs, and the founders of Revolut, Grow Therapy, and Spring Health.

This is a founding-caliber finance role, reporting directly to the CEO. You'll own the finance function end-to-end: FP&A, accounting and controllership, and capital strategy - at an inflection point of both opportunity and complexity for our fast-growing company.

The job is to build the systems that give leadership a clear, unified view across the combined business, and to be the person the CEO and board turn to for the numbers behind every major decision. That means starting from where the systems actually are, not where you'd like them to be.

Finance is the focus, but you won’t be pigeon-holed. As Berry Street scales, this scope scales with it.

• →Own financial planning & analysis: build and maintain the models, forecasts, and budgets that translate operational reality into a clear picture of the business
• →Run accounting and controllership — close process, AP/AR, cash management, GAAP compliance, and audit readiness
• →Build and own board and investor reporting — the decks, packages, and narrative behind the numbers, in close partnership with our data and operational teams and the CEO
• →Stand up cross-entity financial infrastructure that gives leadership real visibility across both sides of the business post-acquisition
• →Own unit economics and margin analysis across patient acquisition, clinical delivery, and payer contracts — and translate that into recommendations leadership can act on
• →Partner with the CEO on capital allocation, fundraising, and strategic decisions
• →Build and lead a small finance team as the function scales
• →Establish financial controls and risk management appropriate for a multi-entity healthcare business
