As a Service Operations Analyst Intern, you will support the Professional Services team by helping coordinate strategic initiatives, improve business processes, gather stakeholder requirements, and drive cross-functional collaboration across multiple business teams. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in service operations, project coordination, process improvement, and business capability development. This internship will also provide you with the opportunity to develop industry-related skills in a professional environment, build your network with Best Buy employees, and explore a wide range of career paths.

This internship will be available from June to August 2027. This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

This internship has the potential to lead to a full-time opportunity. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Housing Note: A limited number of company-sponsored summer housing slots are available near corporate headquarters for non-local candidates.

What you’ll do

Support project coordination by organizing tasks, timelines, meeting notes, and follow-ups.
Prepare project updates, status summaries, and meeting materials for team discussions.
Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and business resources.
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document use cases, and support service operations initiatives.
Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve team organization, communication, and execution.

Basic qualifications

Must be pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, graduating between fall 2027 and spring 2028
Must be able to work in the Richfield, MN corporate office 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday
Must be able to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5pm (Central Time)
Must be able to commit to the internship start and end date of 5/31/2027- 8/6/2027

Preferred qualifications

Interest in business operations, project management, technology, process improvement, or professional services.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to stay organized, manage details, and follow through on assigned tasks.
Comfortable learning new tools, asking questions, and collaborating with others.
Previous retail, customer service, internship, or team project experience is helpful but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
