As Head of Engineering, you lead a Tribe composed of several Squads within one of Betclic’s key development domains. You support high-performing, passionate teams that put innovation and quality at the heart of everything they do.
In this role, your main missions will be:
- Define and own the technical roadmap, aligning architecture and technological initiatives with long-term business objectives.
- Ensure the quality and robustness of technical deliverables: clean code, scalable architectures, CI/CD, observability, and DevSecOps best practices.
- Guarantee the security and compliance of all technical implementations, fostering a culture of data protection, reliability, and responsible risk management.
- Lead a Tribe composed of several Squads (around 3 to 4) working on one of our key products, fostering autonomy, ownership, and impact.
- Directly manage several Engineering Managers, and functionally oversee dedicated experts within the Tribe (Data, AI, Architecture, SRE).
- Set clear goals and empower the team to grow and succeed.
- Oversee recruitment and ensure a balanced mix of skills within the team.
- Support talent development through mentoring, structured feedback, and continuous coaching — with the aim of nurturing future leaders and outstanding engineers.
- Guide your Engineering Managers through change and transformation
- Ensure reliable operations ("run") are properly managed by the team and that production remains under control.
- Efficiently coordinate incident management to ensure fast resolution and minimize downtime.
- Monitor delivery performance, define relevant KPIs, and continuously improve velocity, quality, and sustainability of development efforts.
- Be responsible for the successful execution of the roadmap, including feature interdependencies, data integration, AI/GenAI opportunities, and platform scalability.
- Co-lead the product roadmap with the Head of Product, ensuring alignment between technical, product, and strategic goals.
- Continuously challenge our practices and systems, bringing innovation and continuous improvement to our solutions.
We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm!

- You’re known for your ability to lead Engineering Managers, develop talent, create career paths, and recruit effectively.
- You’re drawn to the world of gaming and sports.
- You’re fluent in English and use it daily.
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- You’re highly organized, able to prioritize tasks efficiently, and structure your work effectively.
