As Head of Data Product, you will lead and develop a growing team of Data Product Owners, and coordinate their work to shape, deliver and drive the adoption of data products across Betclic. 

Working at both strategic and operational levels, you will provide direction, coaching and support to the team while ensuring effective collaboration with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Product Owners, Product Managers and business leaders. You will help transform data into a key strategic asset for the organisation. 

• Manage, coach and develop a growing team of Data Product Owners 

• Set clear objectives, ways of working and expectations, while coordinating capacity and workload across the team 

• Lead the team responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of Data Products, from discovery and definition through to delivery, adoption and lifecycle management 

• Work with business domains to shape and communicate the vision and strategy for Data Products, aligned with company objectives 

• Guide the development and management of a portfolio of data products spanning data tables, transformations, dashboards, analytical services and ML/AI products 

• Provide direction and support to Data Product Owners as they gather, qualify and structure data product requests with domain stakeholders 

• Guide the assessment of the feasibility, value, urgency and risk of data product opportunities 

• Ensure business needs are translated into clear product briefs, business cases, requirements, MVPs and acceptance criteria 

• Establish and evolve product management practices, standards and governance for data product design, documentation, quality, testing, releases and lifecycle management 

• Coordinate Data Product Owners with Data Science and Data Engineering teams, managing dependencies and helping resolve risks and blockers 

• Ensure that product success measures, adoption, quality and user satisfaction are defined and tracked 

• Guide the dashboard portfolio, including dashboard standards, usage expectations and lifecycle management 

• Oversee product management for ML and AI products, ensuring that business objectives, model limitations, deployment requirements and adoption are clearly understood 

• Provide direction for the Product Analytics Enablement & Instrumentation capability, including Amplitude adoption, community animation, user training, support and tagging-plan management 

• Ensure that product analytics data is consistently defined, collected, validated and made available in the relevant systems 

• Promote the adoption of data products and encourage a data-driven culture across the organisation 

• Represent the Data Product function in discussions with senior stakeholders and business domains 

• Identify and champion innovative data solutions and best practices that create measurable business value 

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about using data to shape smarter products and decisions. You’ll thrive in this role if you: 

• Have proven experience leading data product management or product management for data-driven products 

• Have experience managing, coaching and developing a team of Product Owners, Product Managers or similar professionals 

• Are comfortable delegating, setting clear expectations, giving feedback and supporting the professional development of team members 

• Combine strategic thinking with a strong technical understanding of data platforms, analytics and data products 

• Have experience working with data tables, transformations, dashboards, data pipelines, APIs and visualisation tools 

• Understand the lifecycle of data science and AI models, from development to production deployment 

• Have experience with product analytics tools and instrumentation or tagging plans, such as Amplitude or similar platforms 

• Are comfortable coordinating delivery across Data Product, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product and business teams 

• Are fluent in Agile methods and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) 

• Have strong stakeholder management, communication, organisation and prioritisation skills 

• Are fluent in English 

  • If your application is selected, you will be contacted by Joe for an HR screening and Q&A on the role, responsibilities and recruitment journey. 
  • You will then meet your future manager, Iouri– Chief Data Officer, and Martin – Chief AI & XP Officer, for a technical and leadership discussion, including a use case. 
  • Finally, you will complete an AssessFirst test covering personality, motivations and reasoning, followed by a final HR interview with Jo.
