The Undergraduate Admissions Counselor plays a pivotal role in that journey, serving as a trusted guide, advocate, and connector from first inquiry through enrollment and beyond, helping students understand not only Bethel’s academic offerings, but the life-changing student experience and Christ-centered community that set us apart.
Responsibilities

- Provide individualized one-to-one recruitment through relationship development and communication with students in regional territory.
- Meet individually with students and families.
- Follow up with students and families on their financial aid award letter.
- Complete administrative work and documentation of ongoing status of prospective students.
- Provide mass communication to prospective students within regional territory.
- Read and evaluate applications for admission.
- Travel within your assigned region to college fairs, schools, churches, and other events.
- Build relationships with alumni, ministry leaders, education and guidance staff, and other community leaders for the purpose of building the Bethel brand within targeted communities.
- Must be organized.
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to work with multiple tasks and projects.
- Ability to guide applicants through the decision-making process.
- Ability to understand the needs of prospective students.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to work with students and families of all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds assisting them with the admissions process.
- Working knowledge of a CRM platform.
- Ability to frequently travel locally, and regionally and nationally, as needed.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry up to 15 lbs.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and/or laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The job requires extended periods of sitting and traversing the Bethel Campus on a regular basis. This job requires the ability to set up presentation tables and lift/carry up to 15 lbs.
