  • Leads the registrar student services team to work collaboratively across the university to provide gracious, efficient and effective student services.
  • Oversees and schedules staff for two office locations: Main Office &Mini Office/Student Services Hub.
  • Supervises and sets direction for team projects, processes and systems.
  • Serves as a collaborative partner on the University Registrar’s leadership team.

 

  • Manages the registration process, including registration window & wait lists) for the traditional undergraduate students.
  • Works collaboratively with University partners including faculty, staff, and students.
  • Responsible for configuration of the registration setup in the student information system.
  • Responsible for communications associated with registration, including email, e-announcements, and dept. website, for traditional undergraduate students.

 

  • Manages end-of-term academic standing process and grade changes for traditional undergraduate programs and manages academic progress, dismissals, and appeals.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of academic policies, procedures, and curriculum and serves on various committees.
  • Works with the University Registrar on policy recommendations.
  • Collaborates with other offices on University’s MOUs/Articulation Agreements.
  • Oversees the student filing system and record maintenance.
  • Provide reports that relate to registrar services.
  • Serve on committees, as needed.
  • Serve as back-up to Associate Registrar for Operations and the University Registrar.

  • Strong knowledge of student academic records and higher education processes, including registration, degree progression, academic policies, and records management. Familiarity with the liberal arts and undergraduate education is preferred.
  • Proficiency with student information systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Banner or a comparable higher education system is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to analyze records, identify discrepancies, interpret policies, and ensure the integrity of academic information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex situations, research applicable policies, exercise sound judgment, and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain academic policies and procedures to students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals across all levels of the University, including faculty and academic leadership.
  • Ability to lead, supervise, develop, and support staff, including setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative and service-oriented team environment.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adjust effectively to changing needs and competing demands.
  • Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to anticipate needs, identify opportunities for process improvement, and work independently while keeping appropriate stakeholders informed.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity, using sound judgment and initiative when policies, processes, or circumstances require interpretation or further investigation.
  • Strong commitment to customer service, with the ability to balance responsiveness and service with the consistent application of academic policies and institutional standards.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism, with a strong understanding of FERPA and the appropriate handling of student educational records.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and/or laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Typically, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with the expectation to work specific schedules and hours as identified and communicated by management. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This is a 40 hour per week, 12 months per year position.
