Our world-class Sportsbook is fully developed in-house by our dedicated Sportsbook tech team and growing at a very rapid rate, expanding not only in new markets but also as a B2B product serving and offering a sports betting platform in different regions of the world. Our Product Development organisation is a cross functional one with teams spanning across 5 different Tech Hubs - in Malta, Budapest, Stockholm, Tallinn and Athens.

Our sportsbook platform is fully developed and operated in-house – from architecture and engineering to the trading operations. It powers more than 20 brands, delivering a comprehensive sports betting experience to our customers. From the internal tools used by our trading teams to the cutting-edge features that enhance the customer betting journey, our platform is built and maintained by dedicated, high-performing teams.

As part of our Sportsbook Technology team, you will contribute to a high-performance, high-throughput, and highly available product ecosystem. You will play a key role in ensuring that the team consistently delivers measurable business value while maintaining technical excellence.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →As a Tech Lead you will be part of the Sportsbook B2B & Integrations Value stream, participating in design, POCs and development of complex tasks and also a key person in the team who ensures a high-quality delivery by the developers.
- →Work closely with architects within the area to ensure that the architecture direction set is being communicated, aligned & implemented within the teams.
- →You will also be aligning with the other tech leads across the product development department to ensure the technical consistency, take ownership of and drive technical excellence initiatives within Sportsbook.
- →Identify technical improvements in the applications you are responsible for.
- →Validate technical improvements and help Product Managers prioritise such improvements
- →Be able to explain the benefits of technical improvements to both technical and non-technical audience.
- →You will also participate in development, testing, code reviews, bug fixing, implementing new features as well as maintaining and improving the existing functionality.
- →Help build our world class team, thus participating in technical interviews as well as coaching & mentoring engineers.
- →Stay up to date with technology, understand the benefits and use cases of a variety of technologies and be strategic in their implementation.
- Someone who is passionate about building things, with a strong technical background and an understanding of non-functional requirements.
- Expertise with designing and implementing distributed microservices
- Deep understanding of the latest C# and .NET framework/core.
- Experience deploying scalable back-end solutions using AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Expertise with distributed systems and high-speed database technologies, including SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
- Familiarity with messaging systems, message queues, and event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of coding best practices.
- You are a team player who readily offers help and shares knowledge with your colleagues.
- You are someone who is pro-active and love to not only to suggest improvements but also drive them.
The employee reports to the Engineering Manager.
