Why Better. Why Now. Better is rebuilding home finance as an AI-native platform—turning a process that once took weeks into something that can happen in seconds.
Better is rebuilding home finance as an AI-native platform—turning a process that once took weeks into something that can happen in seconds.
With over $110B in loans funded and $1.2B+ raised, we operate at real scale while rethinking how homeownership works from the ground up.
The category hasn’t caught up yet. That’s the opportunity.
We’re building the future of home finance—and we’re looking for a high-agency operator early in their career who wants to work directly with company leadership on the most important problems in the business.
This is not a traditional BizOps, Strategy, or RevOps role. You will operate as an extension of the CEO and COO, with direct exposure to and participation in the company’s highest-stakes decisions.
You will report into senior business leadership with a direct line of sight to the CEO and COO, operating as part of the core decision-making environment—not outside of it.
This role is based in our NYC headquarters (World Trade Center) and operates primarily in-person, as close collaboration with leadership is core to the role.
This role is designed for someone early in their career who wants to operate like a founder—high ownership, high intensity, and high expectations
Responsibilities
~1 min readWork directly with the CEO, COO, and business leadership on high-priority, ambiguous problems
Develop independent, data-backed perspectives and challenge assumptions with confidence
Drive work from problem definition → analysis → recommendation → implementation
Conduct deep-dive analyses into how the business operates—for example, evaluate new product/services and make recommendations as to how they might improve operations and/or reduce costs
Identify bottlenecks across the funnel (lead → conversion → close) and quantify their impact
Surface inefficiencies tied to cost, time, and conversion—and prioritize what matters most
Translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations and partner with teams to implement changes
Help build and improve the systems and processes that support revenue generation
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product to improve conversion rates, reduce inefficiencies, and increase revenue per customer
Support development of forecasting, pipeline visibility, and performance tracking
Build analyses, dashboards, and reporting that create clarity for leadership and enable better decision-making
Support weekly and monthly business reviews by surfacing key insights and performance drivers
Ensure leadership has visibility into what is working, what is not, and where to act
Use AI as a core thinking partner to develop hypotheses, challenge domain experts, and pressure-test decisions using data and first-principles reasoning
Come prepared with facts, perspectives, and questions—not just outputs
Leverage AI to accelerate how quickly you go from problem → insight → action
2–4 years of experience, ideally from top-tier consulting (MBB or similar) or a CEO Office / BizOps / Founder’s Associate-type role
Experience working directly with senior leadership and comfort operating in high-stakes, fast-moving environments
Exceptionally analytical and structured thinker—you break down problems and get to answers quickly
Strong comfort working with BI platforms; ability to independently pull and analyze data is highly preferred
High agency—you identify what needs to happen and make it happen without waiting for direction
Strong intellectual curiosity and honesty—you challenge assumptions (including your own) and adjust quickly when wrong
Demonstrated grit, drive, and ownership mindset—you push through ambiguity and deliver outcomes
Clear interest in using AI as a core part of how you think and work
Not a Head of Operations, Strategy, or RevOps role
Not a people management role
Not a purely strategic or purely execution role
This is for someone who wants to build, analyze, challenge, and operate—simultaneously.
