We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Trust Officer to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients by supporting day-to-day account operations and administrative functions. Communicates regularly with high-net-worth clients and is familiar with the operations of Chevy Chase Trust.

  • Deep experience managing high net worth clients and complex trust relationships. Completed the CFTA certification or equivalent experience. Strong track record of independent decision making and managing large books of business. Understands and is able to effectively communicate matters related to trust or wealth management topics to clients and internal stakeholders. Has a track record of success that early/mid-career professionals can learn from as they build their careers.

Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but serves as a resource for Client Service Associates.

  • →Respond promptly to requests and inquiries, resolving issues with a client-first approach
  • →Prepare and process cash contributions and distributions upon receipt of appropriate documentation, ensuring compliance and attention to detail
  • →Handle client calls and assist in resolving routine questions, transactions and service requests with professionalism and precision. 
  • →Monitor daily cash positions and account activity; work closely with the team to resolve overdrafts and reconcile discrepancies
  • →Facilitate stock transfers related to gifting transactions and ensure timely and accurate execution
  • →Process retirement distributions in accordance with firm policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines
  • →Utilize internal CRM platform and trust accounting system to complete administrative services including account maintenance, report generation and document management 
  • →Maintain organized and accurate electronic account files including trust account documentation and correspondence to ensure consistency and compliance with policies
  • →Support special projects and complete assignments with minimal supervision and high attention to detail.
  • →Perform various administrative and operational tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
  • →Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks
  • →Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a high-volume, fast paced setting
  • →Strong organizational and follow-through skills

  • →Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • →6+ yrs experience, CFTA preferred
  • →Technical Expertise & Usage – Acquiring and applying technical and functional knowledge in a technological area of specialty.
  • →Technical/Professional Knowledge – The ability to keep up with current developments and trends in field of expertise.
  • →Participative Leadership – The ability to use proper interpersonal skills and methods to guide and work with individuals or groups to achieve company relevant goals and strategies.

    • This position is based in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.  Base pay is one component of Chevy Chase Trust's total compensation package, which also includes eligibility for discretionary incentive compensation, healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.
