AI Engineer

We're hiring an AI engineer for an AI startup.

Hundreds of companies already rely on the company every day. Rather than simply answering questions, it continuously monitors businesses in the background, identifies risks and opportunities, generates insights and deliverables, and proactively helps customers make better financial decisions before they even know something needs attention.

The company is building the world's first AI CFO. The founding team spent five years building and operating one of Scandinavia and UK's leading fractional CFO firms, giving the company a unique advantage in translating real CFO expertise into software.

The engineering team is fully AI-enabled. They build with AI, they ship with AI, and the infrastructure that makes that possible is yours to own. You'll report directly to the CTO and join a small, senior, high-output team that moves with intention and speed.

This is an engineering seat with real breadth. The team is fully AI-enabled. Every engineer ships with AI agents, and the infrastructure you own is what makes that possible at speed and at scale. DevOps and cloud infrastructure is yours end-to-end, but that's the floor, not the ceiling. The expectation is that you contribute meaningfully to the product itself: full-stack, with a voice on design and user experience. Everyone on the team thinks like a builder, not a ticket-taker.

• →Own and evolve the CI/CD and cloud deployment infrastructure, including a Terraform-based setup, keeping the machine running reliably and fast as the team accelerates releases
• →Contribute directly to product development across the full stack: front-end, back-end, and everything between
• →Work AI-native from day one: the team uses AI coding agents (including Claude Code) as a core part of how they ship, and you'll be expected to do the same
• →Take end-to-end ownership of features and workstreams, from initial scoping and design input through to production
• →Think critically about the product and push back constructively when something can be done better

• 5+ years of engineering experience. Time at a startup or fast-moving product company is a strong plus, but not required
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling. Terraform in particular is a strong signal; CI/CD pipeline ownership is a must
• Full-stack capability: you can navigate front-end, back-end, and infrastructure without needing a handoff or a perfectly scoped brief
• Genuinely AI-native: you work with AI coding agents as standard practice, not as an experiment you're warming up to
• A strong individual contributor with real end-to-end ownership: you define the problem, you solve it, and you see it through without much scaffolding
• Adaptable and resilient: startup pace means priorities shift, and that energises rather than frustrates you
• SOC 2 or security compliance experience is a nice-to-have, particularly relevant as the company grows its enterprise motion
• Based in Copenhagen or within a CET-compatible European timezone
