Mid-Level Solutions Analyst

Black Canyon Consulting (BCC) is searching for a Mid-Level Solutions Analyst to support business process assessment, workflow modernization, and operational improvement initiatives. The Mid-Level Solutions Analyst will work with stakeholders and technical teams to document existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop modernized workflows that improve efficiency, consistency, and clarity.

The Mid-Level Solutions Analyst will independently perform structured reviews of business processes, document current-state workflows, identify bottlenecks and redundant activities, and contribute to the development of improved future-state processes.

This position will participate in stakeholder discovery activities, evaluate opportunities for digital tools and automation, develop process documentation and training materials, and support pilot testing and refinement of proposed solutions.

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience conducting business process analysis or process improvement activities
• Experience documenting current-state (“as-is”) workflows
• Experience contributing to future-state (“to-be”) workflow design
• Experience participating in stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, or workshops
• Experience creating process maps and documenting process handoffs
• Ability to identify bottlenecks, delays, redundant steps, and other process inefficiencies
• Experience developing SOPs, workflow diagrams, templates, or roles and responsibility documentation
• Ability to identify opportunities for automation or digital process improvement
• Experience supporting pilot testing or implementation activities
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Ability to ensure work aligns with applicable policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements

• Experience supporting federal government or regulated environments
• Experience with business process improvement or workflow modernization initiatives
• Experience developing user-facing training materials or job aids
• Experience evaluating operational performance metrics
• Experience supporting workflow automation or digital transformation initiatives
• Experience gathering and analyzing stakeholder feedback
• Experience supporting change management or solution adoption activities

• →Conduct structured reviews of current business processes and workflows
• →Participate in stakeholder discovery sessions and process review meetings
• →Develop and maintain current-state (“as-is”) process documentation
• →Map activities, decision points, dependencies, and key handoffs
• →Identify delays, bottlenecks, redundant steps, and administrative burden
• →Contribute to development of future-state (“to-be”) workflows
• →Identify opportunities to simplify activities and improve process consistency
• →Help clarify roles, responsibilities, and process ownership
• →Evaluate opportunities for digital tools, automation, or integrated approval mechanisms
• →Develop SOPs, workflow charts, templates, roles matrices, job aids, and training materials
• →Support pilot testing of redesigned processes
• →Gather and analyze process performance data
• →Measure indicators such as cycle times, error rates, or other operational metrics
• →Coordinate workflow refinements based on testing results and stakeholder feedback
• →Support implementation and adoption of approved process improvements
• →Ensure work complies with applicable policies, internal controls, and federal requirements
