This role is in office Monday – Friday.

The Market Leader role is an essential part of our Private Wealth sales team and tasked with accelerating the adoption of Blue Owl investment solutions. The Senior Associate will partner with a Market Team to cultivate relationships with financial advisors within a designated channel and territory, maintaining a high level of proactive sales outreach and representing themselves as a subject matter expert for our investment offerings. The role is a hybrid sales role and expected to be in territory 1-2x a month.  

Responsibilities

  • →

    Proactively drive sales by developing, maintaining, and deepening relationships with new and existing financial advisors.

    Provide a high level of proactive sales outreach via phone, email and virtual engagement.

  • →

    Independently schedule and hold one-on-on Advisor meetings and/or group presentations, with anticipated travel into territory 1-2x a month.

  • →

    Schedule and position the team’s senior sales and investment resources in territory for appropriate clients.

  • →

    Attend and participate in partner firm/advisor conferences.

  • →

    Accountable to the sales growth across the territory, with a focus on growing new producers and cross selling/up selling existing clientele.

    Provides superior client service and responds to technical, product and competitive positioning inquiries as needed.

  • →

    Act as an expert resource on the private market strategies, competitors, and products available in the alternative industry.

  • →

    Actively partner with Market Team: Regional Market Leader, Relationship Management Associate (RMA) and Sales Service Associate (SSA) to develop and execute a territory business plan while utilizing data to optimize client engagement.

    Meet or exceed designated sales goals/KPIs established for the role and territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 4 to 6+ years of experience in the financial services industry, alternative sales experience preferred.

  • FINRA Series 7, 63 licensed.

  • Previous experience in a hybrid sales capacity preferred but not mandated.

  • Leverage AI as a tool to drive efficiency.

  • Collaborative in nature and willing to thrive in a team focused environment.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of accountability.

  • Record of success in a consultative, sales focused environment.

  • Strong knowledge of macroeconomics, assets allocation, fixed income, equity and alternative markets.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Interpersonal skills with proven ability to build effective relationships.

  • Proactive and innovative self-starter.

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $125,000 to $135,000, eligible for bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
